We are pleased to announce the acquisition of the Pilsen hot-dip galvanizing plant MEA Metal Applications s.r.o. with registered office at Domažlická 180, Pilsen.
It has been operating in the west of Bohemia since 1996, and during its activity it continued the more than 50-year tradition and expertise of the Meisinger family company from Aichach near Augsburg. MEA Meisinger is a multinational company with branches in France, Holland, Romania and others. To date, over 125,000 tons of steel structures and customer goods products have passed through the galvanizing plant. However, additional tons of steel are being galvanized by the Pilsen zinc plant with a new name and owner.
The Pilsen plant becomes our seventh plant in the Czech Republic and our twelfth overall in Europe. With bath dimensions of 7.5 x 1.35 x 2.4 m (Length x Height x Width), it can galvanize large components and meets the company's production capacity requirements. We are gradually modernizing our plants and moving them forward, an example of this is the two modernized zinc plants in Hustopeče and České Budějovice. We will also operate in Pilsen, where we will maintain operations and gradually modernize them.
