Structure

The order comprised fabricating the steel structure and the workshop pre-assembly of all assemblies, including the process of galvanizing and painting and the application of EPDM seals on the Krystal building.

The Krystal building is made up of a primary supporting structure and a secondary structure which is fitted with EPDM profiles and glass panes. The total weight of the fabricated structure is 600 tons.

The primary structure was made of 250 × 450 mm rectangular rolled tubes with a wall thicknesses of 16 and 25 mm. The funnel area is represented by the girders in one axis that is curved to copy the general curves created by using the box girders welded from sheet metal.

The secondary structure was made up of 31 façade areas made of 180 × 80 square tubes with the Raico façade system of a total area of 6,000 m2.
